I'm proud, happy and excited to have been invited into a select league of talented and handsome art-warriors.
The SECRET WALLS community welcomed me with paint-splattered arms into their 2012 round of art-battles.
On June 13th, I hit the Oxford Art Factory for beers, brushstrokes and a battle VS the amazing Dale Bigeni.
For the unfamiliar: 90 minutes on the clock, only black can be used and the promise that paint will spill.
In the interest of good times, I provided some one-off artwork for a Limited Edition screenprint.
Printed and provided by the wonderful, amazing and handsome Shannon McKinnon (of Aisle6ix).
The pirate-y'aaart seemed to be a big hit and I was flattered to sign a couple and meet some friendly faces.
The final result on the night, left me hanging in second place.
Obviously it sucks to lose, but at the same time I'm incredibly proud of my finished piece... which is all I came for.
Dale pulled some amazing work on the night and ultimately, I was thankful to be involved (and skinned) in Secret Walls.
Thank you everyone for your support and good times on the night. Love you all, truley appreciate it. YARR!
(...there is a review and photos of the night over at PRIMO MAGAZINE's website and the Secret Walls Flickr).
